But we have a wonderful tropical vacation to Kona Hawaii planned for this spring so I have to do something....
I do workout on a regular basis, so I am going to step that up a bit, but exercise alone doesn't help you lose extra pounds. It is a combo of diet and exercise...and this is a biggie....keeping a food journal. Whenever I complain about not being able to lose, my daughter replies with "are you keeping a food journal mom?". Well, let me tell you, this is a chore for me, but it does work! You think twice about what you eat because you have to write it down.
I marched down and got myself 2 little composition books small enough to tuck into my purse, and I am off and running this week.
I am including a link to
7 reasons why keeping a food journal helps,

Gettin ready to post the color get-together to replace alphabet.. do you have a pic for it? I have no idea how to make a button, but I can do a pic if needed.
Welcome to the club Debbi! Me too, food journals are excellent. We can do it. I am doing a challenge with 7 other gals.
Hmmm, a food journal. Well it sounds like a good idea! Your blog is soo cute! I am going back to check out what I might have missed.
Hugs,
Olivia
I am SOOO with you, Debbi! We've got a southern vacation planned this spring, too - and I've got 20 biggies to lose before then! Yikes! Have you checked out CalorieCount.com? (i think that's right address) It's an online food journal that tallies your intake cals, your cals burned, as well as the nutrition of the food that you eat each meal. It's GREAT! Let me know what you think of it! We can do this, girly! TOGETHER!!!!! :)

Debbi... good for you, keeping a food journal does work because it illuminates what you're putting in your mouth... or neglecting to! A trip to Kona is definitely sufficient incentive to be in the best shape you can be for such a grand adventure! You go girl...

I was dieting too...for my sons wedding in June...but now with all this...i'm not hungry one bit. Not the way I planned on losing....I always try to look for positives in any situation. SOOO with that said I am embracing my nausea!
I wanted to thank you for your sweet comments and support. I know it will be very rough, but in the end better for us all.
*hugs*deb
LOL ... ohhh I know you will do it !
I don't dare keep a food journal because most of the entries would say things like 2 slice pecan pie, slice of caramel cake, pineapple upside down cake (most likely ALL of it)....
