I am artist of texture and color. I enjoy working with textiles, mixed media and the graphic arts. I am an avid cottage gardener with a love for pass along plants and big fluffy pink peonies and pink roses. Many of my tangible creations reflect my love of the garden and all its wonderful colors. I have been selling my creations online since 2002 beginning as a hobby. After 10 years I quit the day job to pursue my art as a full time passion.

I just wanted to say that I was raised much of my younger life in Portland Oregon. A little place called Monte Villa. I don't recall if that is two or one word.
We lived there during WW11 and yes..that does date me. My parents worked at the shipyards.
It used to snow there..feet and feet of it...back then. I wonder what has happened. It was a wonderland and I had a joyful childhood there.
Anyway...it just struck me when you mentioned that it was "rare" as I know it probably is now. My father was born and raised in the Dalles as were his parents..etc.
:) What a lovely place to live. My favorite Aunt lives there now...and we talk several times a week. She mentioned snow..but that is inland from the coast a way.
