****WELCOME FRIENDS****
I am artist of texture and color. I enjoy working with textiles, mixed media and the graphic arts. I am an avid cottage gardener with a love for pass along plants and big fluffy pink peonies and pink roses. Many of my tangible creations reflect my love of the garden and all its wonderful colors. I have been selling my creations online since 2002 beginning as a hobby. After 10 years I quit the day job to pursue my art as a full time passion.

Lasting friendships made...

I just returned from the ShabbyLaneShops member retreat in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee!
It was wonderful to meet so many talented website owners and learn about their talents thru some very informative classes. The best part is we all became fast friends and had great fun! It was hard to leave those lovely ladies and fly home! I promised to share some pics--so here they are~

the massive Cabin Catherine rented for all of us

posing for our group pic--the SLS sisters and friends!

our nightly visitor,he was a BIG guy!

Bunny and Rita cook Italian sausage and sauce for us!
Bunny carted that sausage all the way from New York!

a day  of shopping hitting the antique malls and flea markets!

Left to right---Lynn of The Vintage Nest, Carla of Blue Heron Studios, Rita of Tesorofino, Bunny of B.Catherine Designs, and Claudia of Antica

a drive up to the Smoky Mt national park--the redbud trees were gorgeous!

overlooking Gatlinburg Tenessee

I hope you enjoyed! This was my first time visiting this part of the country. Being from the Pacific Northwest, this was a long way from home. I will treasure the memories and the many friends I have made!

I really liked the pictures that you shared with us. I have been into Tennessee a little ways, but this time of the year the trees and flowers are beautiful. I liked the cabin that you stayed in and that was quite a nightly visitor you had. Once again thanks for sharing your trip.

Thanks, Debbi, for sharing your fun trip with us! I love the Smokies as they are in my neck of the woods-I live in extreme South Western NC, about 2 miles from the GA border. We are considered to be on the fringe of the Smokies
Love to go on Blue Ridge Parkway and other scenic drives.
You have a lovely home there in Oregon - I think it is a beautiful state, what I have seen of it- mostly Portland and the area west where all the flowers grow! Beautiful!

I sure hope you got to see Cades Cove, but you looked like you had so much fun in that cabin there wasn't much siteseeing. A lot of artists and photographers come from all over the world to that area for pictures.

Hi Debbi, what a treat to see your post today. Meeting you and the rest of the gang will be a fond memory I will never forget. The scene of you and I pawing thru that "mountain" of linens will always be a special memory. I have spent the last two days working on those gorgeous pieces and got every last stain out! :) Love all your photos! And hope there will be lots more on the upcoming 'beach' trip. xoxo Lynn P.S. Ride 'em cowboy!

Did Lynn say "Ride em Cowboy"???? I heard you and Lynn discussing what you use to get stains out of those linens and I was too busy searching for treasures. When you get a chance, email me what you and Lynn use for vintage linen stains.

I really enjoyed being around a group of women that have so many common interests. It was wonderful meeting you and getting to know you. I will truly miss your wonderful story telling. Can't wait to meet up with you ladies again soon!
