****WELCOME FRIENDS****
I am artist of texture and color. I enjoy working with textiles, mixed media and the graphic arts. I am an avid cottage gardener with a love for pass along plants and big fluffy pink peonies and pink roses. Many of my tangible creations reflect my love of the garden and all its wonderful colors. I have been selling my creations online since 2002 beginning as a hobby. After 10 years I quit the day job to pursue my art as a full time passion.

An early peek in the cottage garden

As the low clouds parted this morning I snapped a few pics of my wildly over grown cottage garden! But I love it, and the cool crispness this morning made everything so wonderful....click on the pics for more detail....
I swear this hollyhock was white last year....
so I have no idea where this came from...

Welcome to the jungle of false queen annes lace...
this stuff reseeds freely...

Oh Debbi, this garden is just gorgeous. You may think it's overgrown, but I love it. The hollyhock is pure eyecandy and I love the queen annes lace. I don't see blooms like this during the year because of the heat. In fact, I don't see blooms like yours here at all. I remember when we lived in the east, queens annes lace was growing wild along the side of the road. Beautiful Debbi, just gorgeous, Char

Your flower garden is so pretty and the hollyhocks are gorgeous. Would you please send some of your cool weather my way. We had high 90's with triple digit heat indes. Have a great weekend.

Love your blog!!! I'm going to follow you.

Your garden is just delightful. I didn't know there was a thing called false queen anne's lace. I have some (queen anne's lace) in my garden. It looks identical.

Lovely embroidered items. I hand embroider myself.

Blessings to you!

Oh Debbie, I love your hollyhocks. I have tried to grow them...but no luck. I have a balloon flower that was in one place of the pool garden and then two years ago it just disappeared. I was so disappointed and lo and behold it's back this year...only in a spot about 6 feet away. I swear! weird! Our Queen Anne's lace is wild here. I have tried to transplant to the garden with no luck. I love it and go out to the fields to pick it for my arrangments. Do you know how much bride's pay for that stuff to have in their bridal bouquets? Have a super great day. P.S. What are cool crisp mornings?? (just kiddin)

Oh! It's lovely! Almost more than I can stand and I want mine to look just like that. It won't, of course...but still...I am going to try..
With all you have to do..all your sewing..taking care of silly's like me..(ok, so maybe I'm the silliest) how on earth do you find the time. It is just beautiful!
Love and hugs...
Mona

Did you see that the loved flowers of my border vanished once again?? I touched nothing. Nothing!
I've let NO ONE touch anything! I finally tried to put a background of red there..and it shows..it's not pretty..but at least it isn't a blank white.
I don't understand why this is happening. I was embarrassed to come to you AGAIN! It's ok..Fall will soon be upon us and we can change it. :)
HUGS!!

What a beautiful garden! I would love to grow hollyhocks and I am just an abject failure at them. Your view of your garden is just gorgeous. Just stumbled upon you today and I love what I see so I'm a new follower. :)
