****WELCOME FRIENDS****
I am artist of texture and color. I enjoy working with textiles, mixed media and the graphic arts. I am an avid cottage gardener with a love for pass along plants and big fluffy pink peonies and pink roses. Many of my tangible creations reflect my love of the garden and all its wonderful colors. I have been selling my creations online since 2002 beginning as a hobby. After 10 years I quit the day job to pursue my art as a full time passion.

29 April 2012

For the Cottage "what not" party on Etsy Cottage Style blog, I am sharing my latest re-purpose project.

I picked up this pie table for $10 at a local thrift store. With the help of  The Graphic Fairy for the French graphic and Carol of the Polka Dot Closet with her waterslide decal and a few sheets of old sheet music (paint too of course). I was able to bring this little table back to life. It is already down at the Vintage Emporium shop in Stayton, Oregon where I am selling a few of my items on consignment.

the "before" pic

Also sharing an upcylced piece of a framed art print. I found this at an Estate sale in an ugly brass frame, but I loved the Victorian lady in the pretty lawn dress and parasol. She was just begging me to take her home and frame her properly. I added some vintage crochet for texture too. Unfortunately I had a bit of glare in the photo that takes away from the beauty of this piece:(

I love your pretty sheet music table. We seem to have some of the same projects going on. Please accept my invitation to come over and visit (check out my tables and bench on my last week's post about my furniture re-dos on the back-porch). Who knows you may decide to follow me, too. Connie :)
