****WELCOME FRIENDS****
I am artist of texture and color. I enjoy working with textiles, mixed media and the graphic arts. I am an avid cottage gardener with a love for pass along plants and big fluffy pink peonies and pink roses. Many of my tangible creations reflect my love of the garden and all its wonderful colors. I have been selling my creations online since 2002 beginning as a hobby. After 10 years I quit the day job to pursue my art as a full time passion.

Spring, a time for renewal and remebrance.

I knew it had been a while since I posted. Two months. I don't think I have ever gone that long between posts. But the last 6 weeks have been life changing for me. My older brother passed away after a brief illness. He was only 62 and had so much more life to live. He left a lot unsaid, and unfinished business behind. We are slowly healing. He and my sis in law Cindy lived just 10 miles down the highway, so we are close to help her out thankfully.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share some of my favorite pictures of him and I and he and his wife Cindy.

a trip to Kona, Hawaii in 1990

we had lots of family boating and camping trips together as our kids were growing up

Below is one of my favorite hymns, it seemed so appropriate

Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy,
Whose trust, ever child-like, no cares could destroy,
Be there at our waking, and give us, we pray,
Your bliss in our hearts, Lord, at the break of the day.

Lord of all eagerness, Lord of all faith,
Whose strong hands were skilled at the plane and the lathe,
Be there at our labours, and give us, we pray,
Your strength in our hearts, Lord, at the noon of the day.

Lord of all kindliness, Lord of all grace,
Your hands swift to welcome, your arms to embrace,
Be there at our homing, and give us, we pray,
Your love in our hearts, Lord, at the eve of the day.

Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm,
Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm,
Be there at our sleeping, and give us, we pray,
Your peace in our hearts, Lord, at the end of the day.

So sorry at the loss of your brother. I know this must be a hard time for you. I'll be praying that God gives you and your family the grace to get through it.
