I am an avid cottage gardener with a love for pass along plants and big fluffy pink peonies and pink roses. Many of my tangible creations reflect my love of the garden and all its wonderful colors. I have been selling my creations online since 2002 beginning as a hobby. After 10 years I quit the day job to pursue my art as a full time passion.

Cottage Dwellers Soup






Jumping in this party with a favorite comfort soup for the winter. This one is perfect with a crisp green salad, Filling and satisfying, you really don't need to add bread to the meal unless you have some really hungry cottage dwellers! Super easy and quick too

 Veggie Beef Tortellini soup
(for the cottage dweller)

1 lb ground beef
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup low sodium beef broth
1 can (28 oz) Petite diced tomatoes
1 can (10 1/2 oz) condensed French Onion soup
1 package (16 oz) frozen gumbo soup veggies
1 package (9 oz) refrigerated cheese tortellini
1 teaspoon dried basil

In dutch oven pan, brown beef over medium heat until no longer pink:, drain. Add remainng ingredients; bring to a boil. Cook uncovered for about 10-15 minutes.

Serves about 8.

I recently treated myself to a Dutch oven! I think I need to make this soup now-it looks perfect for a nice cozy cottage supper!
